# Analyzing Sales Performance & Insights

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/analyzing-sales-performance-and-insights

Sales analysis helps you understand how your performance changes over time and identify patterns that may require your attention.

The **Analysis** section brings together trends, anomalies, and AI-generated insights to help you understand what is happening in your sales data and investigate potential drivers behind significant changes.

## Open Analysis

To view the detailed sales analysis, follow these steps:

1. Go to **Forecasts**.
2. Select **Sales Forecast**.
3. Once the forecast is ready, switch to the **Analysis** tab.

## Review Detailed Sales Analysis

The detailed sales analysis provides additional metrics to help you understand sales performance and evaluate the accuracy of your forecast.

### Growth Analysis

**Growth Analysis** shows your overall growth and average monthly growth, helping you understand how sales have changed over the analyzed period.

### Forecast Accuracy

**Forecast Accuracy** provides metrics that help you evaluate how well the forecast matches the historical data.

It includes:

- Coefficient of Determination (R²)
- MAPE
- Bias
- Forecast Method
- Forecast Horizon

## Analyze Anomalies

ELECTE can identify unusual changes in your sales data, such as unexpected spikes or drops. To view anomalies, follow these steps:

1. Open **Analysis**.
2. Scroll down the page.
3. In the **Anomaly Detection** section, click **Detect Anomalies**.
4. If any anomalies are detected, they will be displayed. Click an anomaly to view its details.

## Explore AI-Powered Insights

AI-Powered Insights highlight important trends, patterns, and changes in your sales data that may require your attention.

The insights can help you quickly identify significant developments and understand what may be driving changes in your sales performance.

For example, an insight may highlight a period of declining sales or an unusual change in performance that is worth investigating further. To view AI-Powered Insights, follow these steps:

1. Open **Analysis**.
2. Scroll down the page.
3. In the **AI-Powered Insights** section, review the available insights. You can copy or download them, or enable **Enhanced Analysis** for a more detailed analysis.

> **Note:** AI analysis runs on your local device, so your data remains under your control.

## Tips and Best Practices

- **Start with the overall trend.** Look at the broader sales pattern before focusing on individual changes.
- **Investigate unusual changes.** Use anomalies to identify periods that deserve a closer look.
- **Consider business context.** Compare changes in sales with marketing, pricing, campaigns, or other relevant activities.
- **Use AI insights as a starting point.** Review the underlying data before making decisions based on an insight.
- **Look for recurring patterns.** A single spike or drop may be less significant than a pattern that appears repeatedly.

# Choosing a Prediction Method

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/choosing-a-prediction-method

Five prediction methods are available to help you build forecasts based on the characteristics of your data and your forecasting goals. The right method depends on the patterns in your historical data, such as trends, growth, short-term fluctuations, or seasonality.

## Available Prediction Methods

### Trend Tracker

**Best for:** Data with a consistent trend.

**Trend Tracker** is designed for data that follows a relatively steady upward or downward direction over time. Use it when your historical data shows a clear and consistent trend without significant changes in the rate of growth.

**Example:** Use Trend Tracker to forecast sales that have been increasing at a relatively consistent rate over several periods.

### Growth Accelerator

**Best for:** Data with an increasing growth rate.

**Growth Accelerator** is suitable when your data is not only growing but the rate of growth is also increasing over time. It can help capture accelerating growth patterns in your historical data.

**Example:** Use Growth Accelerator when your monthly sales are growing more quickly each quarter.

### Smooth Forecaster

**Best for:** Data with short-term fluctuations.

**Smooth Forecaster** helps reduce the impact of short-term fluctuations in your data to make the underlying trend easier to identify.

Use it when your data has temporary ups and downs that may not represent the longer-term direction of your business.

**Example:** Use Smooth Forecaster when monthly sales fluctuate significantly but follow a relatively stable overall trend.

### Season Sense

**Best for:** Data with recurring seasonal patterns.

**Season Sense** is designed for data that follows predictable patterns that repeat over time.

Use it when your business experiences regular changes during particular months, quarters, or other periods.

**Example:** An e-commerce business may use Season Sense when sales consistently increase during the holiday season and decrease afterward.

### Smart Predictor

**Best for:** Complex time series.

**Smart Predictor** is an advanced method designed to handle more complex patterns in time-series data.

Use it when your data contains multiple patterns or when it is difficult to identify a single clear trend, growth pattern, or seasonal pattern.

**Example:** Use Smart Predictor when your historical data combines changing trends, fluctuations, and other complex patterns.

## How to Choose a Method

Use the characteristics of your historical data as a starting point:

If your data...ConsiderFollows a consistent upward or downward trend**Trend Tracker**Has an increasing growth rate**Growth Accelerator**Has frequent short-term fluctuations**Smooth Forecaster**Shows recurring seasonal patterns**Season Sense**Contains complex or multiple time-series patterns**Smart Predictor**

These guidelines are a starting point rather than strict rules. The most appropriate method can vary depending on your dataset and forecasting goal.

## Tips and Best Practices

- **Review your historical data first.** Look for clear trends, growth patterns, fluctuations, or seasonality.
- **Match the method to your data.** Choose the method that best reflects the pattern you want to analyze.
- **Don't assume the most advanced method is always the best.** A simpler method may be more appropriate when your data has a clear, consistent pattern.
- **Review your method when your data changes.** A method that works well for one dataset may not be the best fit as your business patterns change.

> **Tip:** Start with the method that best matches the most visible pattern in your data.

# How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/enabling-2fa

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Instead of relying only on your password, 2FA requires a verification code from an authenticator app when you sign in.

This helps protect your account if your password is compromised. We recommend enabling 2FA for any account that has access to sensitive business, financial, or customer data.

When you enable 2FA, you will also receive recovery codes. These codes can help you regain access if you lose access to your authenticator app or phone.

## Prerequisites

Before setting up 2FA, make sure you have:

- An active account and access to Settings
- Your account password
- An authenticator app installed on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
- A secure place to store your recovery codes

> **Important:** Never share your recovery codes or authentication codes with anyone.

## Set Up 2FA

### 1. Open Security settings

Sign in to your account, click your profile name in the top-left corner, and go to **Security**.

### 2. Enable 2FA

Find **Two-factor authentication** and toggle the switch to set 2FA.

### 3. Connect your authenticator app

Open your authenticator app and add a new account. **Scan the QR code** displayed on the screen.

If you cannot scan the QR code, use the setup key to add the account manually.

### 4. Verify the setup

Your authenticator app will generate a temporary verification code. **Enter the current code** in the setup window and select **Verify**.

Once the code is accepted, 2FA is enabled for your account.

### 5. Save your recovery codes

You will receive a set of recovery codes after enabling 2FA. **Save the recovery codes** somewhere secure, such as a password manager.

> Recovery codes are usually single-use, so keep track of which ones you have used.

## Troubleshooting

#### My verification code doesn't work.

Make sure you are using the code for the correct account. If it has nearly expired, wait for the next code and try again. Also check that your phone's date and time are set automatically.

#### I lost my phone.

Use one of your recovery codes to sign in, then update your 2FA settings. If you don't have a recovery code, contact your administrator or our support team.

#### I deleted the account from my authenticator app.

Use a recovery code to sign in and set up 2FA again. If you don't have one, contact your administrator or our support team.

## Tips and Common Mistakes

- **Save recovery codes immediately.** Don't wait until you need them.
- **Use a password manager** rather than an unsecured note or screenshot to store recovery codes.
- **Don't share authentication codes.** Legitimate support staff should not need your current 2FA code.
- **Keep your phone's time synchronized.** Incorrect device time can cause valid codes to be rejected.
- **When changing phones,** make sure 2FA works on the new device before removing it from your old one.
- **Replace old recovery codes** if you generate a new set.

> **Best practice:** Set up 2FA and save your recovery codes before you need them. This gives your account an additional layer of protection and helps prevent lockouts.

# Managing User Permissions & Access Levels

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/managing-user-permissions-and-access-levels

User permissions control what each member of your organization can see and do in your account. Assigning the right access level helps protect sensitive information while making sure team members have the permissions they need to do their work.

You can manage user access from your account settings and update permissions whenever a team member's responsibilities change.

## Prerequisites

Before managing user permissions, make sure you:

- Have administrator access to the account
- Know which users need access
- Understand the level of access each user requires
- Have the user's email address if you are inviting a new member

> **Tip:** Give users only the permissions they need for their role. You can increase or reduce access later if their responsibilities change.

## Invite a New User

### 1. Open User Management

Sign in to your account and click **Workspace** in the sidebar.

Go to **Team Members**.

### 2. Add a user

Click **Invite Team Member**.

Enter the user's email address and select the appropriate access level.

> **Optional:** You can include a personal message for the invitee.

### 3. Select an access level

Choose the role that matches the user's responsibilities.

For example:

- **Admin** — Can manage users, permissions, and workspace settings.
- **Member** — Can create and modify content or data but cannot manage organization-wide settings.

### 4. Send the invitation

Review the user's email address and access level, then click **Send invitation**.

The user will receive an invitation and can follow the instructions to join the workspace.

## Change a User's Permissions

You can update a user's access level when their responsibilities change.

1. Go to **Workspace → Team Members**.
2. Find the user you want to update.
3. Click the ⋮ menu.
4. Click **Make Member **/ **Make Admin**.

## Remove User Access

When someone no longer needs access to your workspace, remove their access promptly.

1. Open **Workspace → Team Members**.
2. Find the user.
3. Open the ⋮ menu next to their name.
4. Click **Remove Member**.

## Tips and Common Mistakes

#### Follow the principle of least privilege

Give users the minimum level of access required to perform their work. Avoid assigning administrator permissions unless they are necessary.

#### Review permissions regularly

Check your user list periodically, especially after team changes, promotions, or changes in responsibilities.

#### Remove inactive users

Don't leave access enabled for users who no longer work with your organization or no longer need access.

#### Be careful with administrator access

Administrator permissions can allow users to change security settings, manage other users, or access sensitive information. Assign them only when necessary.

#### Check access after changing roles

When a user's responsibilities change, review both their new permissions and the permissions they no longer need.

> **Best Practice: **Keep your user list and access levels up to date. Regular permission reviews reduce unnecessary access and help ensure that sensitive information is available only to the people who need it.

# Scheduling & Automating Report Delivery

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/scheduling-and-automating-report-delivery

You can schedule reports to be delivered automatically, so you don't need to generate and send them manually each time.

Scheduled reports are useful for regular financial updates, management reporting, and recurring business reviews.

## Prerequisites

Before scheduling a report, make sure you:

- Have an existing report
- Have access to **Reports **and** AI Agents.**

> **Tip:** Customize and review your report before setting up a schedule. Scheduled deliveries use the report configuration you have saved.

## Schedule a Report

To schedule a report:

- Open **AI Agents**.
- Select **Report Generation**.
- Enter a task name _(optional)_.
- **Enter the topic** you want to cover in your report (e.g., Financial performance for Q1 2026).
- Add any additional instructions, such as specific metrics, comparisons, or trends you want the report to cover.
- Select **Schedule Once**.
- Set the date and time when you want to receive the report.
- Click **Schedule Task**.

Once the schedule is active, ELECTE will automatically deliver the report according to the selected schedule.

## Choose a Delivery Frequency

Depending on the available options, you can choose how often the report should be delivered.

To set up a recurring task, follow these steps:

- Open **AI Agents**.
- Select **Report Generation**.
- Enter a task name _(optional)_.
- **Enter the topic** you want to cover in your report (e.g., Financial performance for Q1 2026).
- Add any additional instructions, such as specific metrics, comparisons, or trends you want the report to cover.
- Select **Recurring**.
- Set the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) and time when you want to receive the report.
- Click **Create Schedule**.

## Tips and Best Practices

- **Choose an appropriate frequency.** Daily delivery may be unnecessary for reports that change only once a month.
- **Protect sensitive information.** Only send reports to authorized recipients.
- **Update the schedule when the report changes.** Make sure the scheduled version reflects the information you want to share.

## Troubleshooting

#### The report was not delivered

Check that the schedule is enabled. If the schedule is active but the report was not delivered, check whether the report itself has any errors and try running it manually.

#### The report contains outdated data

Make sure the connected data sources are updating successfully. For sync-related issues, see [What to Do When a Sync Fails](https://www.electe.net/help/what-to-do-when-sync-fails).

3. Select the format you want to use: PDF, PowerPoint, Word, JSON, CSV, Markdown or HTML.
4. Wait for the export to be generated.

## Choose the Right Format

### PDF

Use **PDF** when you need a presentation-ready version of your report.

PDF is useful for:

- Sharing reports with customers or stakeholders
- Presenting financial insights
- Keeping a fixed version of a report
- Printing or archiving reports

PDF preserves the report's layout and formatting, making it the best option when visual presentation is important.

ELECTE will organize the report content into a presentation and generate a ready-to-use deck.

## Formatting Tips

Before exporting your report, review its content and formatting.

For the best results:

- Check the report title and summary.
- Make sure all required sections are included.
- Add notes or custom sections where additional context is needed.
- Review the report before exporting it for external use.

If you are exporting a report for customers or stakeholders, use **PDF** to preserve the intended layout.

## Share Your Report

You can share a report with colleagues who have access to your workspace without exporting it.

To share a report with a colleague, scroll down to the relevant section and mention them.

## Troubleshooting

#### The export is not generated

Check that the report has finished generating and try exporting it again.

If the problem persists, refresh the page and retry the export.

#### The exported file looks different from the report

Some formatting may vary depending on the export format. For a presentation-ready version that preserves the report layout, use PDF.

#### The file is missing data

Check that the relevant sections and data were included in the report before exporting it. If necessary, customize the report and export it again.

#### I can't open the exported file

Make sure you are using an application that supports the selected format:

- PDF — PDF reader
- Excel — Microsoft Excel or another compatible spreadsheet application
- CSV — Spreadsheet or data-processing application

If the file still cannot be opened, try generating the export again.

## Tips and Best Practices

# Understanding Your Report

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/scheduling-a-recurring-report

Reports bring together your business data, forecasts, and analysis in one place. Understanding the different sections and visualizations can help you quickly find the information you need and use the report for decision-making or presentations.

The sections included in a report depend on the options you selected when creating it and the data available in your workspace.

## Report Structure

When you open a report, you may see several sections, including:

### Forecast Summary

The **Forecast** **Summary** provides a forecast overview of the key findings in your report. Use it to quickly understand the main results without reviewing every section in detail.

### Analysis

The **Analysis** section provides insights based on the data included in your report. It can help you identify trends, changes, and other relevant patterns in your business data.

### Revenue Overview

The **Revenue Overview** section helps you understand your revenue performance. It includes total revenue, growth, forecast, and the data source.

### Expense Analysis

The **Expense Analysis** section gives you an overview of your expenses, including total expenses, growth, forecast, and the data source.

### Profit Analysis

The **Profit Analysis** section shows your profitability, including total profit, growth, forecast, and the data source.

> **Note:** The sections available in your report depend on the data and options selected when the report was generated.

## Report Infographics

Reports may use different visualizations to make your data easier to understand.

### Charts

Charts help you identify trends, compare values, and understand changes over time.

### Data Insights

AI Data Insights highlight key trends, patterns, and changes in your data that may require your attention. They help you quickly identify important developments and better understand what is happening across your business.

## Tips for Reviewing Your Report

- **Start with the Summary.** Use it to get a quick overview before reviewing individual sections.
- **Look at the trends.** Charts can help you identify changes that may not be obvious from individual values.
- **Check the context.** Consider the reporting period and the data included before interpreting a result.
- **Customize when needed.** Add notes or sections to provide additional context for your audience.

> **Tip:** If you're preparing a report for customers, management, or other stakeholders, review the **Summary** first and then use the detailed analysis and visualizations to support the key points.

# What to Do When a Sync Fails

Source: https://www.electe.net/help/what-to-do-when-sync-fails

When a connected data source stops syncing, ELECTE keeps the last successfully synced data and marks the connection with a sync error. Your existing data is not lost.

Most sync errors are caused by an expired authorization, a change to the source structure, or a temporary rate limit.

## Check the Sync Status

Before troubleshooting, check the connection status and error details.

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click **Data Source** in the sidebar.
3. Find the integration with the sync error.
4. Open the connection details.
5. Review the error message.

> **Tip: **Each sync error includes a **connection ID**. Keep this ID if you need to contact support.

## Reconnect an Expired Authorization

Some data sources require you to periodically re-authorize access.

If your authorization has expired:

1. Click **Integrations** in the sidebar.
2. Click **Reconnect**.
3. Follow the authorization instructions.
4. Complete the authorization.
5. Check the connection status.

The next sync starts automatically after you re-authorize the connection.

## Fix a Changed Data Source

A sync can fail if the structure of your connected data source changes. For example:

- A column or field was deleted.
- A sheet was renamed.
- An account structure changed.
- A required field was moved or renamed.

The error details should indicate which field or data element the connection expected.

To fix the issue:

1. Check the error details.
2. Restore the missing or renamed field in the source, if applicable.
3. Alternatively, open **Data Source** and update the mapping.
4. Save your changes.
5. Check the connection status.

## Check for Rate Limits

Some data providers limit how frequently data can be retrieved. If your source has been rate-limited, ELECTE automatically retries the sync using progressively longer intervals.

In most cases, no action is required. Wait for the next retry and check the connection status again.

If the sync continues to fail for more than **24 hours**, contact our support team.

## Contact Support

If you cannot resolve the sync error, contact our support team and include the **connection ID** shown in the error panel.

> **Tip:** Don't delete and recreate a connection before contacting support. Keeping the original connection and its error details can help us identify the cause more quickly.
