How to Update Payment Methods & Billing Information

You can update your payment method and billing information from your account settings. Keeping your billing details up to date helps prevent failed payments and ensures that your invoices contain the correct information.

ELECTE subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel the renewal.

Prerequisites

Before updating your billing information, make sure you:

• Have access to the account that manages your subscription
• Have your new payment method available
• Have the correct billing information, including your billing address and VAT details, if applicable

Update Your Payment Method

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click Workspace in the sidebar.
3. Scroll down the page and click Billing & Subscription.
4. Click Update Payment Method in Quick Actions.
5. Enter your new payment details.
6. Click Add.

Your new payment method will be used for future subscription payments.

If Your Payment Fails

If a payment cannot be processed, check that:

• Your payment method is still valid.
• Your card has not expired.
• The billing address matches the information registered with your payment provider.
• Your payment method has sufficient funds or available credit.
• Your bank or payment provider has not blocked the transaction.

Update your payment method and try again if necessary.

Tips and Common Mistakes

• Keep your payment method up to date. Replace expired or cancelled cards before your next renewal.
• Update your payment method before changing cards. This helps avoid failed subscription renewals.
• Check your billing period. Make sure you know whether your subscription is billed monthly or annually.
• Keep your account information current. ELECTE requires accurate and complete billing information for subscriptions.
• Don't share payment details with support. Only enter payment information through the secure billing interface.
